HYDERABAD IS DYING! OUR NATIONAL BIRD IS CRYING!
Hyderabad is dying..Our national bird is crying and nobody is listening to its cries. The Telangana government wants to auction 400 acres of land of Hyderabad University. They want to use that area for an IT park. For all he people who keep claiming that the people of South are educated , this doesn’t look like education, this looks like Corruption. Students, faculty and environmentalists have been protesting for many days. But the police are only taking out these protesters so that the bulldozers can do their job.
The telangana government says that there are no major animals in this area. There are no tigers, no deer .But i want to take this moment to inform the respected CM that Hyderabad University says that there are more than 700 flowering plants , 10 speices of mammals, 15 species of retiles , and more than 200 species of birds. In fact, this is a habitat of our national bird peacock.
The opposition believes that last week was a long weekend. Because of Ramazan, Eid , Gudi Padwa, and all these festivals, the courts were closed for 4 days. And at this time , the Telanagana government thought of doing this heinous act . The telangana government has taken many U-turns on this issue. First, they said that there is no water body here. Then when the photos of water bodies came out, they said that there was an agreement with our Hyderabad University. Hyderabad University itself came on record and said that there is no agreement with our government. The government did not do any survey here. They only inspected the topography.

In this image , you can clearly see how much destruction the government has already done.
The high court also ordered that yo stop our work. But the government is still not stopping. The trees are still being cut. Some people say that this land belongs to the Telangana government, which they have taken back after a long legal battle. So I started reading up about it. In the 1970s, Telangana agitation was going on . And for peace negotiation, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi negotiated with local leaders. And that time, the Andhra Pradesh government passed an order to allocate 2,300 acres to the Hyderabad University.
For some reasons known best to the people at that time , this land was not officially named Hyderabad University. So to speak, this land belongs to the government, not the University. In 2004, these Hyderabad 400 acres were allocated to IMG Bharata to build a sports complex with the idea that this was a subsidiary of a US- based company. But in 2005, it was found out that this company is a fraud.
They have nothing to do with the US company. And this land got stuck in the court case. Now in 2024, the High Court said that the land allocated to IMG Bharata is illegal and the land belongs to the state government.
If the land belongs to the state government, does this mean that the jungle there should be destroyed and a concrete jungle should be built? Kije how does this make sense?
I just cannot understand how many politicians and the babu log of our country are so sold out. They want to make India’s cities like Europe’s cities. But they only see Europe’s glass buildings, which are an absolute misfit for a hot country like India. They never see the good roads, proper footpaths, greenery , parks, national parks, they never see all these things.
- Why this selective blindness?
- India is one of the top 5 countries in the world which is vulnerable to climate change. We get heatwaves every year, cities get flooded in every monsoon, Don’t politicians care about these things ?
- Are all the people blind?
- Ans even the people who vote for them are so blind that they don’t see anything. Are all their people exempt?
- Or do they have a special cover that they will be protected from all these problems?
- If there is such a cover, then give it to us too. I don’t understand what is the need of build an IT park on a hill?
Hyderabad Destruction Crisis - I have not been to many places in Telangana, so I genuinely have a question. Is there no other place in Telangana to build an It park?
- Is forest cutting the only solution?
- Is it necessary to build an It park there?
- According to some clips the trucks are collecting fallen logs at 2-3 in the night. Don’t you find it Suspicious that there is so much activity going on at night?
- Who are these people who need so many logs?
- Is the government secretly doing a furniture buissness that that they need so many logs and wood? Or are these logs going to be smuggled illegally?
- What’s the damn hurry?
- And my second question- not just from this issue, but to everyone in India. “Why are our land records in such a mess?”
- KHOSLA KA GHOSLA watch this movie. It would have been hilarious if it wasn’t so sad. Who owns whose land in INDIA?
- And who squats on it and builds slums?
Pay attention to this. People who build illegally slums, suddenly becomes owners. Because there are a lot of people who cry on their behalf. In this case too, the land was transferred to the university for the purpose of creating educational institutions.
But no one transferred it legally .Because 2300 acres is alot of land which can be commercially exploited. And i think that’s what’s happening. Out of the 2300 acres of the University, 800 acres have already been given.
And out of remaining 1500 acres, 400 acres are being talked to be carved out again. These are th 400 acres that are being talked about now. This whole issue wouldn’t have happened if the University owned rights to all of its land in the first place. We don’t need problems, we need solutions.
That’s why for the past 4 years, we have been doing Mission Mango with Mr. Subhajit. where we collect mango seeds from people, germinates plants from them, grow them and donate them to below poverty line farmers.
And in the past 4 years, we have planned 1,60,000 trees. We don’t know how many trees are cut in India. But we can atleast do this by plamting a few trees. If you also want to become a part of Mission Mango this year, and want to help Mr. Subhajit, then start sending your mango seedlings to this address. (Mission Green Mumbai, Taluka Falropvatika, Chavindra, Shelar, Near Greenland Hotel, Bhiwandi, Thane-421302) . This number is just a drop in the ocean of despair.
All knows, But still, I would like more people to start such projects. So that you lnow how much effort it takes to germinate a tree, to grow it. So that when they know how hard it is to grow a tree , they’ll think twice or 10 times before cutting a tree. Cutting a tree and planting 10 Saplings, this doesn’t make sense . This is the truth. In conclusion, I just want to say that we can’t eat money, we can’t breath money, we can’t take money with us when we die. When we will understand this? Every decision is seen only from a monetary prespective.
And that’s why our cities are s broken today. Because all the politicians and babu people think that forests will grow on their own. The air will become clean on its own. And it’s better if they don’t talk about water. The biggest issue is that everyone wants to make money without realizing that we are humans are nothing . When nature shows its anger, no one survives.
Whether it’s floods, droughts, heat waves, earthquakes. We are nothing in front of nature. We have no status in front of nature. We have to understand that this world is no6t just ours. It’s the hoe of all the animals and birds.
The human being who can’t hear their screams, can’t see their tears, that human being is not a human being. There is no point of hoping from previous generation. Greed has blinded their eyes. They can’t see tomorrow’s destruction today.
If India has any hope, IT’s from our next generation. Who can understand the real meaning of Vasudeva Kutumbakam from maturity.
